The information also contains pricing and certain requirements that need to be met to maintain the consistency of the organization.The information also contains the purpose of the website and how it can be used to improve communications between members, sponsors and vendors for contacting each other. |

Introduction Welcome to the new release of the San Diego Chapter Website. The site will not only include the same great material and information as the previous iteration, but has a new direction in design and use. Some of these implementations are listed below. The new website is designed to attract new "members"; and provide value added services for members (i.e., quick contact information to people and resources). The new site is intended to become a central clearing house for building relationships. As a general rule current information is updated on the main page of the website. Here you can get a snapshot for upcoming events, luncheons, etc or if you prefer you can look at the calendar page also. The calendar will land you on January 2001. From there you can jump to the month that you wish to view. If you would like to see the minutes of our executive planning meetings or luncheon topics there is a link on the main page. We invite you to get involved and participate in planning meetings which are usually held as a luncheon. The National Organization has a new web site. When you join the NPA you are part of an international orgainzation. Visit Now. A Member Listing The "member listing page" is intended to be the main page and focal point for all Members, associates, sponsors and students to provide a local directory for "Who's Who" In San Diego Area of Information Technology. It will also be a valuable area for those of you seeking out talent in specific areas for contract hiring and/or general help on specific projects where your company may need assistance and expertise. On the pages you can view a small photo of the "member" with a "email linked" contact information and a written biography of the "member". The member page listing is free for members and associates and is included with your membership. A $20.00 "change charge" will be incurred however, if there is a requested change after the initial posting, (I.e., you would want to update your biography information). You are also allowed one change per year automatically with your membership. The "members listing" page will be broken down into specific areas of talent and expertise to make the information and people easier to find and contact. As a member, sponsor or student you will provide the web administrator with a photo and text about yourself. This can be emailed or mailed to the SDNPA web administrator or handed off at one of our meetings. A instamatic camera will be provide at chapter luncheons and a biographical fill out sheet. A provided photo must be at a minimum (100h x 80w pixels). It can also be a regular photo. To be listed you must provide the Web Site Administrator with the information. Only persons wishing to be listed on the page will be listed. Come to a luncheon and get your picture taken and fill out a bio for inclusion on the website. Page Rotating Banner Each pages now has a (400w x 80h pixel)"Rotating Banner" for gold sponsors. Graphics for the banner are to be provided by the sponsor if necessary. There will be a $50.00 charge for home page banner representation. Banner rotation will be limited to a maximum of (4) companies. Listings will be on a "first to the table" basis and presence duration will be limited to a minimum of 6 months. So if you sign up now you will be on the next posting. Job Listing The "job listing page" will be an opportunity for companies to list employment opportunities for position'(s) they are seeking. You will need to provide a contact person for communications by email link, phone number, fax abd company website information, etc for the applicant to contact you as well as any other instructions.There will be an area for you to describe the position that you are looking to be filled. There will be a $20.00 charge for each job posting and a $10.00 "change charge" if you wish to change the text. Listings will remain on the site until the position is filled and you request it to be removed or it is deemed by the webmaster to be no longer valid. Visit Now. Sponsorship Page The "sponsors page", will be dedicated to "showcasing" and "promoting" our San Diego Chapter Sponsors. This page will incorporate the sponsor's company logo in a (100h x 260w pixel) area. An accompanying text area is provide for you to describe and promote your company.The logo will be a link to your companies website. Visit Now. Self Promotion Personal Web Page This will be another value added service for our members, sponsors and students. This will be a "one-page web page personal website " and will be linked to your "members listing" page. You can also just go directly to the page by typing into your internet browser the URL: http://www.sdnpa.org/yourname. Your personal information will be overlaid onto a SDNPA formatted page in order to maintain the look and feel of the overall San Diego Chapter Website, while providing a backdrop for your involvement in a professional association. There will be a photo of yourself and you will provide the text related information. You provide the photo (minimum of 175h x 125w pixels). There will be (4) links on your page if requested. There will be a (100h x 400w pixel) area for you to provide a company logo or a graphic. · Your email address link for contacting you. · An offsite link of your choosing. · Another offsite link of your choosing. · A link to the SDNPA Web Site. The charge for a personal web page will be $25.00 for an annual listing. You are limited to one page. Each time you want to update your personal page there will be $10.00 "change charge". (I.e., you want to change your links or text information). If you are a vendor you could promote your products here or advertise specials. If you are a student you could list the classes that you are taking. You could put the URL on your business card. You could present your resume here and indicate that you are seeking employment. Volunteer Recognition A page will be dedicated to recognizing our volunteers and the involvement of the SDNPA chapter membership in the community. Please submit informatin on any services and assistance that any SDNPA member has provided to the community so they can get noticed on this page. Visit Now. Web Site Administration General Information For changes, information, questions and communications contact with the web site administrator or the local chapter president. The preferred method is email. Phone support will be provided for questions, which require a more detailed explanation. All submissions for posting on the website will however be approved via the SDNPA chapter directorship. Please participate in helping to make the SDNPA website a focal point for contacting our members and centralizing our combined resources. Contact the web administrator for suggestions and or comments.
